A calmer way to compare colour seasons

My latest colour-season question is about Deep Summer versus Soft Winter at home. Similar cool shades begin to overlap when I compare them in person. I kept the light constant before judging any of the fabrics. I kept the setup plain by avoiding lipstick, jewellery, and busy prints. The darker samples added definition, but some also made ordinary shadows look heavier. Muted blue and berry shades seemed easier, though I am unsure whether that is familiarity. I wrote down only repeatable changes in contrast, skin texture, and the appearance of my eyes. A neutral color analysis could make the comparison more systematic than scrolling through palette boards. I would treat any result as a starting point rather than a verdict. Which repeatable signs helped you tell deeper cool colours from softer cool colours? Experiences with ordinary indoor daylight would help me most. For now, I would rather improve the comparison than choose a category too quickly. Repeated observations across ordinary days should be more useful than one flattering photograph.
